Close to seven months after his passing, new lyrics have surfaced that may shed some light on Swedish DJ Avicii’s mindset before his tragic death by suicide at 28-years-old.
According to Variety’s sources, his parents who reside in Sweden, seem to be in no hurry to release his new music. Along with the help of Geffen Records, they have conducted a thorough inventory of what unpublished music remains, and where in the creative process stands with more than 100 “demos” in at least partly produced form.
The outlet was able to share some posthumous lyrics from the DJ and while the label and representatives for the family would not comment on the authenticity, many fans can’t help but take a look and try to decode the meaning.
“We don’t get to die young / Trouble keeping our head sometimes,” the lyrics state. “We just have to push on / We don’t get to give up this life / All the breath in your lungs / Is stronger than the tears in your eyes.”
