Ekali Opens Up About Mental Health Issues

Each day more and more people are not only being educated but opening up about mental health issues. It has become an epidemic primarily in the entertainment industries. Nathan Shaw, the the Canadian DJ known as Ekali opens up about the issue.

In his tweet, Ekali exclaimed, “lately I’ve not only lost close friends over mental discord but I’ve been speaking with other artists and hearing their stories and I’m kind of left speechless with how chronically depressed and destructive they are over industry pressure, consumer hate, and neglect they feel as a public figure trying to express their art and dealing with expectation and straight up societal stigma…Ive kind of decided to say fuck it and use my pain as something positive for those affected to relate to.. and i feel super vulnerable telling you all this but here we go..”
