EDM is a fairly new popular music genre. Even newer than that… (in America at least) is Reggaetton.
Regaetton has been rising in popularity rapidly over the past few years. Reggaeton is a music style which originated in Puerto Rico during the late 1990s. It is influenced by hip hop and Latin American and Caribbean music. Vocals include rapping and singing, typically in Spanish.
Popular reggaeton artists include J. Balvin, Maluma, Ozuna, and more.
Today, Steve Aoki announced that he and Maluma have music coming soon. EDM x Reggaeton collabs are becoming more and more common. We are looking forward to hearing it.
