It’s almost a year that the world lost Avicii, who was born Tim Bergling. Bergling took his life on April 20, 2018. He was 28 years old. The sudden and tragic death left fans with a lot of burning questions. But fans are hoping that new music will be able to answers some of the questions.
Avicii’s team has announced that a new posthumous album, “Tim,” is set to drop this summer. The first single released of the track will be “SOS,” and be delivered on April 10th.
According to a press release, the Swedish DJ was close to completing a new album. Most of his songs were 75-80 percent completed before his death. He left behind notes about the tracks, along with email conversations and texts messages about the music. His musical collaborators continued to finish the music and make it as close to his vision as possible.
“Tim” will be released on June 6. All proceeds will go to the nonprofit Tim burgling Foundation. The foundation was started by his family so they can help raise awareness of mental illness and suicide.
