‘Rave Now’ will air December 1 at 8 pm on Tencent Video. Some of the judges are Mandarin pop-star Lay, rock ‘n’ roll artist Da Zhang Wei and electronic pop starlet Laure Shang, and Alan Walker as a special guest host.
The goal of Rave Now is to replicate the show ‘Rap of China’.
The show is going to be produced Star China who made the voice of China.
Preparation of the show started in November of last year. Since the success of ‘Rap of China’ EDM began to take off around the country so the next best move for them was to begin an EDM show.
“I can’t tell (you) too many details of the rules, but there are different contests. It’s not unlike that street dancing talent show (Street Dance of China) also produced by Star China earlier this year,” said Shen. “For example, contestants will perform for a set time in front of one of the superstar judges, and they will pick the [contestants] they want to join their team. Later, they will give the contestants material for creating music, and there will be one-on-one battles, as well as team battles.”
Fans and the judges can’t wait to check out the hidden talent.
