Guess who you can see in person as a wax figure now? Avicii! Yes, one of our favorite DJ/producers has a wax figure at the Madame Tussauds New York Location.
Avicii isn’t the first dance music DJ to have a wax figure. Over the past two years, many dance DJs have been created into a wax figure like Steve Aoki, Calvin Harris, and Martin Garrix. It seems like Avicii is surrounded by great company.
Usually, when a wax figure is being created of a person, over 200 measurements of the subject is needed and is recorded by a team of 20 people. But it was different with Avicii’s case. According to an interview with Billboard, “Designers instead studied hours and hours of footage, catching Avicii at as many angles as they could to create the proper dimensions and to really capture the vibrant energy with which the DJ and producer delivered his most memorable performances.”
