Australian’s Want to Adapt Pill Testing at Festivals

In some parts of Europe, drug testing happens at each festival to screen them for harmful substances that could kill you. Australian’s are now wanting to adapt this.

According to Dr Alex Wodak, president of the Australian Drug Law Reform Foundation, testing could prevent dangerous batches of pills from being distributed if they are “contaminated drugs’.

After two fatal overdoses in the span of four days in Australia, the ADLRF (Australian Drug Law Reform Foundation) want to adamantly pursue the legalization of the pill testing.

The problem with allowing the testing is that it is admitting that there are going to be thousands of drugs at the events. However, according to Dr Wodak, the reality is young people will always take drugs and pill testing must be adopted to reduce the risk.
